British Summertime became ‘official’ since last writing and the weather is attempting to meet expectations with many UK construction site workers enjoying dryer, milder working conditions. Whilst the longer days have reduced the requirement for external daytime temporary lighting, larger projects we are providing temporary site services for involve subterranean, indoor and safety lighting as well as extensive temporary plumbing and water supplies – we’re being kept very busy!
April marks the beginning of Multitech’s second quarter of 2015 and after having an exceptional first quarter we were wondering what to expect...but we have not been disappointed – quite the contrary in fact; throughout April we have received a record number of enquiries throughout the South East and Midlands regions from existing and new clients to whom we extend our thanks.
The Multitech LED temporary construction site lights have quickly gained popularity with clients who are now benefitting from the savings that can be achieved. Demand is such that we are awaiting new deliveries ready for delivery to sites.
Multitech now have ownership of the unit adjacent to our head office in Dunmow on which work has started to create additional warehouse and office space. Having the new unit has also provided parking space for our latest delivery of customised vehicles which are currently being sign written ready to go on the road in the coming weeks.
Our recruitment campaign has been successful and resulted in some excellent new staff joining us in office and site positions – a very warm welcome to everyone! We are currently looking for Administrators for roles at our Head Office in Great Dunmow as well as looking for electricans – if you are looking for a job with prospects or know someone who is, please direct them to our Careers Page and where you’ll find all of our current vacancies. Alternatively CVs can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
“We have a focus on safety” is perhaps an all too familiar and overused term in the construction industry, but for Multitech safety has always been at the heart of the services we provide. Our commitment to safety extends to monthly site visits by our Managing Director accompanied by appointed safety consultants and staff attend regular Toolbox Talks with training being kept up to date, coordinated by our HR Department.
Our commitment to safety is reflected by us exceeding 3 years with a 0 AFR and we plan to keep it that way!
Dragons & Words
The 23rd of April is significant in England for two reasons, most notably for St George’s Day but perhaps lesser known is that it is the International Day of the Book, marking William Shakespeare’s passing in 1616.
This year we acknowledged our Patron Saint’s Day at a gathering in London which was enjoyed by all and culminated in an attempted rendition of Jerusalem, from where St George miraculously appeared and led the crusaders into battle. Whilst there were no miraculous appearances during our day, many favourable beverages seemed to magically appear at the appropriate times - thank you St. George!
OK May...what have you got for us?
