Amidst the inevitable debates of snow fall and a white Christmas our teams have been kept exceptionally busy during December maintaining the temporary electrics and temporary site services we have installed across hundreds of construction sites throughout the Midlands, London and the South East. Trace heating systems to help prevent frozen pipes have gained popularity with clients and we have been fitting heaters in new and existing welfare areas.
A massive thank you goes out to all of our staff who have worked tirelessly throughout 2014 and are looking forward to a well earned break over Christmas. The continued increase in business means that we are looking for new staff to join our teams across various roles, regions and departments.
If you are looking for a job within an established, growing company head over to www.temporary-electrics.co.uk/index.php/multitech-careers and check out the opportunities currently available.
Our expanding client base and subsequent temporary site services orders gives us great confidence as we enter 2015. New specialist plant and vehicles are due for delivery to us in January ready for use following our return to sites on 5th January.
And CONGRATULATIONS to our very own Financial Controller Laura Carter who today gave birth to Amelia Grace :)
Unique in our industry and demonstrating our commitment to safety, we will be holding our Annual Safety Seminar during the Christmas shutdown which this time will incorporate UKATA Asbestos Training for site operatives. Our guest speaker for 2015 will be the inspirational safety speaker Ken Woodward O.B.E. (www.kenwoodward.co.uk).
Staff organised a dress down day for Christmas Jumper Day on 12th December (www.jumpers.savethechildren.org.uk) which raised money for Save the Children.
In support of an initiative by former area boxing champion and local fitness instructor Robbie Linsell of Paragon Fitness in Bishop’s Stortford, Multitech have organised collections of unwanted clothes and toiletries ready for organising into shoe box gifts for homeless people in Harlow. Robbie will be donating Multitech’s shoebox gifts via the Harlow Chocolate Run charity which also welcomes cash donations by PayPal using the ‘Donate’ button at the bottom of their home page at www.chocolaterun.org.uk
“Robbie Linsell is a formidable boxer and was my first boxing coach 8 years ago – Multitech is proud to support him and the Harlow Chocolate Run Charity”. Guy Scilly, Multitech MD.
Throughout 2014 Multitech has donated £20k to various charities, with money being raised through a combination of staff organised and external events. Great work by everyone involved.
Yes, it’s that time of year again when much of the UK construction industry takes some time off and Multitech is no exception. We will be closed from the 24th December and returning to sites on Monday 5th January 2015 during which time we will be operating an on-call system for existing clients - in the event of an emergency please call your Multitech regional contact.
Did you know that some people in Spain eat twelve grapes at midnight, the idea being to ensure a fruitful year ahead? The goal is to swallow all twelve grapes during the chimes before the stroke of midnight. In the UK this will also be the case, although the grapes will be carefully selected, fermented, bottled and consumed both before and after midnight!
Multitech would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients for their support during 2014 – we look forward to working with you in 2015.
Wishing all of our clients, suppliers and staff a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
