February 2015 News

Wow! What a start to the year; we were very happy with January, but February has been exceptional. Enquiries from existing and new clients have continued to increase with some very exciting projects being won throughout the South East and Midlands. New members of staff have joined us and our new range of LED site lights are about to be launched...and it’s only February! Multitech has always been a leader in temporary electrics and our carefully selected range of LED Lights are testament to this. The environmental benefits and cost savings are very impressive and we are looking forward to installing them onto construction sites in the coming weeks. People Congratulations to David Woodham who successfully completed our training programme and has now been appointed Supervisor East Region. David started working for Multitech as a Trainee Electrician in March 2000 and is a shining example of how dedication, hard work and taking advantage of the training and development opportunities available at Multitech can result in a great career. It hasn’t gone unnoticed David – thank you. With enquiries increasing week by week we continue to look for additional site and office staff – electricians, plumbers, administrators and trainee positions are available. We encourage anyone looking for a career in electrics or the construction industry to send us their CV. Our current vacancies can be found on our Careers Page and CVs can be sent to kimberley@multitechsite.co.uk Safety Throughout 2015 our Managing Director, Guy Scilly, will be making monthly visits to construction sites with our appointed health and safety consultants, Hawksafe. The purpose of the visits is to monitor that temporary electrics and temporary plumbing is installed to the high safety standards we and our clients expect. We have now exceeded 3 years with 0 AFR and plan to keep it that way. Toolbox talks and training continue to maintain the professionalism and safety levels of our staff which keep them and those they work with as safe as possible. Charity Multitech were happy to help long-standing client Taylor Wimpey at their Chobham Manor site where we assisted with the electric supply for cabins being used as part of a project aimed at educating construction skills within the local community. 2015 looks like being the year for charity cycling events; our Contracts Administrator, Grace Ball, is currently training for a 300 mile bike ride from Essex to Brussels in aid of St. Helena Hospice in October. All donations are welcome by going to www.justgiving.co.uk/graceball321 And our very own Managing Director Guy Scilly will be taking part in a Charity Bike ride from Havana to Santa Clara in Cuba. The British Boxing Board of Control Charity is organising the event entitled ‘Cycle Cuba with the Champs’ and will raise money to help the charity fund medical research and look after boxers in need. Next month will provide us with Mothering Sunday, St Patrick’s Day and an Equinox...and then the clocks change! At that point we will almost be in a position to start work on expanding into our new unit; we’re looking forward to a very positive March...hope you are too.
