National Apprenticeships Week, New Temporary Lighting Product & lots more...
It’s hard to believe that today is the first day of Spring with the 'Beast from the East' and 'Storm Emma' currently wreaking havoc on the UK.
The weather conditions past few days have certainly made it difficult to get products to sites but thankfully, our dedicated, directly-employed workforce have continued to install and maintain the Multitech temporary site services on UK construction and development sites during the freezing temperatures wherever possible.
Clients have been benefiting from our unique water pumping stations that have been working well during the arctic conditions as they contain built-in heaters to help prevent freezing whilst maintaining water pressure site-wide and up to eight floors.
New Temporary Site Lighting Product
It's always pleasing when a member of staff suggests a product idea that can be of benefit to our clients. Recently, one of our Midlands team put forward a design for a lightweight, sturdy, multi-directional lighting tower which we have since manufactured at our Essex facility. Hard-wired and ready to connect to the Multitech transformers, this unique creation is easy to position and can be manufactured at heights to suit specific requirements.

National Apprenticeships Week 2018 #NAW2018
Since inception in 1998 Multitech Site Services has run Apprenticeship training programmes, with many apprentices advancing within the business to positions of responsibility and their own apprentices to oversee.
In support of our training commitment, Multitech became members of the 5% Club (www.5percentclub.org.uk) who this year, to coincide with National Apprenticeships Week and also their 5th Anniversary, are campaigning to promote the advantages of Apprenticeships and remove the perception of some that vocational training is 2nd place to a degree education.
Multitech will be supporting the 5% Club Campaign using digital promotion with their hashtag #21CWinners - our apprentices and trainees are testament to the value of apprenticeships and the resulting career opportunities.
National Apprenticeships week takes place from 5th - 9th March 2018. To find out more visit www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/national-apprenticeship-week-2018-naw-2018
Our recent recruitment drive has proved successful with new electricians and office support staff joining the ranks within our ever-expanding business. New long-term project enquiries, some in geographical locations new for Multitech, necessitated finding new recruits many of who have completed their inductions and are now comfortable within their roles.
If you know of anyone who might like a career with Multitech, please direct them to our careers page where the latest opportunities can be found: www.temporary-electrics.co.uk/careers
Dress down days during February raised money for our chosen charities and plans are afoot for a Sport Relief event. Some members of staff have signed up for charity events during 2018, many of which will require dedication and training, which will raise money for other charities.
So for now, as we wait for Winter to give way to Spring we wish you all the best for March.
