Sustainable Site Electrics For Our Clients
In addition to working with our suppliers to reduce waste, we encourage the consideration of sustainable measures at project design stage; Multitech was the first temporary services contractor in the UK to develop a comprehensive design capability focused on environmental considerations.
Our methodology is to combine a range of measures, technologies and expertise to create environmentally focused designs that significantly reduce energy/fuel usage, carbon emissions, generated waste and project costs whilst at the same time achieving social benefits. Our Estimation Team creates sustainable site electrics project designs containing green options and recommendations with optional energy efficiency reviews and carbon reduction initiatives.
With 95% of the average contractors’ energy costs/carbon being consumed on-site, the Multitech Waste Reduction Policy is a very attractive proposition for construction companies looking for sustainable site services as standard.
Multitech has a range of LED temporary site lights including energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly LED temporary lighting and power solution suitable for listed buildings and projects with buildings of historical value.

Considering the environment at every stage
Multitech takes a proactive approach to protecting the environment starting with our Waste Reduction Policy which helps protect the environment and benefits customers who have less waste to dispose of on-site.
As part of our endeavour to deliver comprehensive and sustainable site electrics, we encourage our plant and equipment suppliers to minimise packaging. Packing materials arriving at our warehouses are removed and segregated into waste recycling streams.
In addition to the 2 tonnes of cardboard that Multitech recycles every month we also recycle metals, plastics, lamps.
Multitech is voluntarily certified under the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme which aims to ensure that fleet operators work lawfully, safely and to best practice whilst improving environmental performance.
Multitech has a fleet of 50 vehicles including safety-customised vans and is a Licensed Waste Carrier.
SAFED is a complimentary driver development course aimed at educating safe and fuel-efficient LCV driving. By training and encouraging SAFED driving techniques as part of our fuel management, Multitech is making a valuable environmental contribution in terms of fuel and carbon reduction across our fleet.
Multitech views FORS and SAFED accreditations as important parts of the best practice culture that we are committed to across all areas of the company- helping us to provide the most comprehensive and sustainable site electrics possible.
