The new landmark building on Kingston University’s Penrhyn Road campus, Town House is a multi award-winning architectural gem that delivers contemporary learning and performance spaces alongside a new library, covered courtyard, café, and landscaped areas. We were proud to be selected by Willmott Dixon as their temporary services partner and embraced the challenges presented by the design and construction of the building.

The entire concrete frame was manufactured off-site and assembled piece-by-piece like a jigsaw using two 35m tall tower cranes, which meant a conventional installation wasn’t possible and we had to design and create a bespoke lighting rig that mounted on the transformers to provide lighting on each of the 6 floors.
Additional services installed mains and sub-mains distribution, lighting, power and plant connections, local power, plumbing, and welfare and office connections. Careful coordination with the client was needed throughout to ensure progression in line with key project timings.
