Home to Premier League Brentford Football Club and Premiership London Irish Rugby Football Club, the new 17,250-seat stadium forms part of a wider development and the main contractor Buckingham Group appointed us to provide temporary services across the 6-acre site, including mains and sub-mains distribution, lighting, plumbing, evacuation alarms, welfare, and plant connections.
A demanding and fast-paced construction programme required a dedicated team and a close working relationship with the client on-site to safeguard successful phase completion. A robust scheme was designed with the flexibility to accommodate relocations and changeovers as works progressed with minimal disruption and optimal cost efficiency.
The mains and sub-mains cabling design had to be changed in reaction to the duct works originally planned to house the cabling no longer being available, with an installation inside the building identified as the best alternative solution. One notable challenge was the rainwater diversions from the upper levels which were needed throughout the project, but the team designed and implemented a route into the storm drains without impacting project timings.
