Inland Homes were successful in winning the bid to redevelop the 10-acre Brooklands College site in Ashford town centre into a mixed-use site including 357 homes ranging from one-to-five storeys, 65,000 sq. ft of commercial space, and improved local infrastructures. We were appointed to supply temporary services and were required to provide initial enabling connections and distributions from existing sites in the area to facilitate the infrastructure works prior to the main redevelopment work commencing.

Extensive consultation with the client was required pre-construction to assess the electrical provision required to support tower cranes and hoists, with a design for a suitable mains connection and sub-mains distribution network subsequently installed across the site. With a 1600A mains unavailable, our team used their experience to design a new scheme with supply from 2 x 400A supplies.
An intelligent lighting system was installed across the site to meet environmental objectives and other services included water distribution, wireless evacuation alarm system, and significant temporary welfare facilities housed in marquees with heating and power in line with COVID guidelines.
